And so, the die is now cast; the
cards are in play and all actors are in position to claim their spoils.
Only one man, it now seems, wishes he would wake up to find himself in another
country far away from here, or probably in another reality. That man is 'Isa Damsaka', the current incarnation
of the dreaded leader of the Boko Haram sect otherwise known as Skekau the
third.
Since the first Shekau began his
campaign of terrorizing Nigerian citizens, our beloved country has witnessed
sorrow after sorrow...father, after father, son after son, and daughter after
daughter have been lost to the carnage warped from the demented mind of the
so-called Shekau, year after year, and now, it seems the tide has indeed
changed for the better as terrorist after terrorist has been annihilated and
sent to their 'timely' death and subsequent torture in Hades.
Going by the most recent victory
achieved by the troops in clearing Madagali, Adamawa state, Gwoza now stands
truly as the last of the last terrorist strongholds.
According to intelligence reports
coming from the theatre of operations, the terrorists have mounted their
Heavy-calibre weapons in Gwoza, as well as deployed their Tuareg-desert
mercenaries and their drug-addicted locals (who, by the way, are in their
thousands), all over the area. In fact for those not aware of the fact, Boko
Haram has at least 3000 hardened fighters in its ranks.
Unfortunately However, as currents
events indicate, cowardly Isa has no reason to smile or even brag about
anything. His troops have been severely downgraded, both in terms of men and
equipment. His recent flight from Dikwa doesn't also bode well for his group as
it simply indicates that the terrorist-leader is not the
brazen-confident-brimming-die-hard leader he is claiming to be, or at least
claimed to be!
The recent allegiance to ISIS, also
indicates that the group is indeed on its last leg as it was very much an act
of desperation by Boko Haram considering that they are being battled on all
fronts by Nigeria and its allies.
At the moment, Boko Haram camps in Bauchi,
Gombe and the likes are being discovered and destroyed, with the terrorists put
to the sword. In fact, as the days go by, Boko Haram's days are being halved at
an exponential rate.
Unfortunately for poor Isa, begging ISIS
for help will not help his cause as even the much heralded ISIS is being
pounded day after day. Recently, Tikrit (the third-largest city under IS
control) was being pounded by at least 30,000 Iraqi ground troops, backed by
US-led airstrikes. It therefore stands to reason that it would be only a matter
of time before even IS loses its much heralded territory. At the moment, even
Islamic State is having its own battle for survival, talk-less of coming to the
aid of BH. Only days before, Al-Baghdadi
the leader of IS was almost killed in an airstrike.
As it stands, Isa has every right to
shake in his boots, (Has anyone noticed we haven't seen any new videos from the
man since the 6-week war began??!) His forces may still number in their
thousands, willing to 'die for the cause' but trust me, Isa Damsaka IS NOT
WILLING TO DIE FOR THE CAUSE (whatever the twisted cause might be). Isa Damsaka
is A COWARD who hides behind the frontlines, away from the heat of the battle.
It was exactly for this reason that Bashir Mohammed died in Konduga (leading
from the front), and Isa Damsaka lived ( in hiding, showing his machismo only
in propaganda videos, pointing at the screen and threatening everybody)
The writing is very much on the wall.
Boko Haram is going into extinction and one man is beginning very much to think
about his room in the afterlife, alongside his beautiful virgins!
